Song of the Day: Lambs & Lions - Rebel Hymn of Grace

By in Song of The Day | 4 Comments

This new oi/street punk band from Thumper Punk records is a great band akin to Hanover Saints & the like. Their lyrics are very anthemic for our Christian faith. HM has a great write up oon them if you want to know more here: https://heavensmetalmagazine.com/index.php/2024/06/17/lambs-and-lions-release-hymns-of-grace/

Check out some of the song’s lyrics below

Sola Fide, by faith we stand, Sola Gratia, by His grace, not by human hand. Solus Christus, Christ alone, Soli Deo Gloria, to God be the glory, the cornerstone! No indulgence bought, no penance earned, Just the blood of Christ, the tide has turned. Sola Fide, the faith that’s counted as righteousness, In the punk rock rebellion, it’s our battle dress. Sola Gratia, grace alone, it’s the gift we’re given, Not of works, lest any man should be boastin’. Solus Christus, the only mediator, Our high priest, our savior, our liberator.

“Killing Frost Vision” is my favorite from the album.

Good choice! FYI, HM and Heaven’s Metal are two separate entities nowadays.

I have been loving Lambs & Lions since the album release! One issue I have concern with though is that the production sounds odd. I’ve been noticing this lately with other artists as well such as Powersaint, Holy Devastation, and another TPR band, Soul Call. I’m wondering if these are AI produced or if some AI generators are being used. I’m hoping someone can answer this as I am curious.
