A.G. McIntosh just released his new single titled “Time To Kill” and it is short, sweet, and to the point in an abrasive yet melodic manner. Today’s introduction is of the project “FYR FYTR” (Fire Fighter). Introspective and passionate indie rock with an almost post-hardcore like influence, that Faith connection and a strong emphasis on emotions. Let’s take a moment and soak in the pure awesomeness of the band Hope Through Grace from the UK, laying down that hardcore and metal so perfectly. On this song “John 20” it features Miggy Sanchez of Relent fame. I just got wind of this new project called PADOVER that features the talents of Damian Horne of Silage fame. He emailed me and gave me info and I’m certainly glad he did. The band just released their new EP “Paper Catches Fire” and they want you all to give them a listen. Just when I thought the year was winding down and coming to a close a band like The Myriad arrives with what can only be considered to be an absolute masterpiece, a song called “Time”. I’m judging this merely based upon this short teaser trailer and the fact that their last 2 songs were pure magic. The word “Time” is a common running theme in the music of The Myriad and I suspect there is more to the theme than what is visible at the surface level.… Continued →

People of Punk Rock Records (out of Canada) just announced they are releasing a pressing of “Through Thick & Thin” by Dogwood on Vinyl (and CD). The album has been completely remastered and will be available in 3 colors plus test pressings, right here on the POPR website. They also have a cool themed Dogwood tshirt also. Today’s Song of The Day comes from a band called “Capital Lights”, which are little heard of this day and age and whose last album released all the way back in 2012. That was 12 years ago, can you believe it? This band released 2 fantastic albums. While some people didn’t find as much enjoyment in the last album (final?), I certainly did. One of the highlights (there are plenty) for me off that record was “Honey Don’t Jump”. With lyrics about pulling someone from the brink of depression only to show them God’s love, grace, and ultimately, salvation in him.… Continued →
