There is a fair mix of previous acoustic jams from his past material amped up and explored in a more punk rock direction. This is a really great collection of songs. Punk Meets Metal Band, Living Fire, just dropped a brand new ep titled “Mercy Between Love & Hate” and it is quite a diverse set of songs. I stumbled upon this really unique and different sounding “worship” oriented music, hymnal focused group out of Scotland called, “Celtic Worship“. Don’t let the cliché Scottish name fool you, this is uplifting, inspiring, and played with a strong sense of passion, driven by quality musicianship. The vocals are soaring and the instrumentation is out of this world. I received a press release a few weeks back and like with many I just wrote it off as more of the same. I’d like to introduce HeavyMind to all of you. It’s a kickback indie pop type duo featuring Teddy Boldt (Teddy At Night) and Mark Campbell. Most covers are just quickly mashed together, lacking any real emphasis on originality, pulling an existing song out of it’s sameness and reigniting it to a whole new level. Well my friends, Lightworker have taken the old song “Crawling in the Dark” from 00’s rockers – Hoobastank, and given it a whole new life. Most people don’t know that Hoobastank created a whole bunch of music/songs before The Reason took over airwaves and people’s hearts.
