The metalcore band Flawed By Design has begun to work on new material. The band formed in late 2011 with founding members Shane Atkinson (Drums) and Tony Greer (Guitars). They hired on Vocalist Dillon Reynolds and Bassist Davie Huffman and the band recorded their debut album A New Creation in 2015 through Rottweiler Records. Reynolds and Huffman both left in 2015, leaving Atkinson and Greer the only remaining members. RED Announces West Coast Dates for Ten Year Edition of "End of Silence"
The hard rock band RED has some new tour dates for the Ten Year Edition of End of Silence, their debut album. The band has been around since 2004 and have released five albums. The band’s debut released 10 years ago last year. The album received many great reviews, made 194 out of 200 on the Billboard charts, and was Grammy nominated for Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album. Imperial Dusk (Vision of God) Pre-Order for "Black Priest of Satanic Blood Rituals"
The Unblack metal band, Imperial Dusk has released their re-release of their debut album, Black Priest of Satanic Blood Rituals. The band formed in the year 2000 but didn’t release anything until 2007. Their debut was Black Priest of Satanic Blood Rituals. The band has released 8 albums and have now set up the re-release for Black Priest via Vision of God Records. Solus Deus release new EP "The Plague"
The “thug metal” band, Solus Deus has released their third EP, titled The Plague. Solus Deus started in 2012 as a project of members of Bleed the Sky and Chimaira. Later on they would hire Rocky Gray of the famed Living Sacrifice, Soul Embraced, and Evanscence to join the band. The band recently signed to the EMP Label Group, the label owned by Megadeth Bassist David Ellefson. The band released their EP, The Plague on February 17, 2017 via EMP. Second band, day after. Just as I predicted. Anyways, Rottweiler has a new band, O Wretched One. They are said to sound like Fleshgod Apocalypse, Cradle of Filth, and Dimmu Borgir. The hardcore band Nothing Left has signed to Facedown Records! The band formed in October last year but all members have much experience in a band and the musical business. Ryan (Guitar) and Brandon Leitru (Guitar, Bass) are the brothers formerly from For Today, Danon Saylor (Vocals) is a former member of A Bullet for Pretty Boy and Alex Camarena (Drums) of Silent Planet behind the kit. Nodes of Ranvier Lineup for Facedown Fest 2017
So everyone is excited for Facedown Fest 2017 because of the 20th anniversary. Many bands are coming back out of retirement including A Plea for Purging, Bloodlined Calligraphy and Nodes of Ranvier. We can deduce what the Plea lineup will be and I already gave the BC lineup. Graham asked what the Nodes lineup would be. So here it is:

Ascending King (SkyBurnsBlack Records) Finishing EP
The Unblack metal project, Ascending King has began to finish their debut EP. The band has a sound like Atmospheric Black metal with Zao/Carcass Vocals. Aaron Kirby is the mastermind behind the project. Aaron was a member of the metalcore/hardcore band Dryline for it’s duration. The project began in 2015-2016ish and has released a single titled “Genesis of Desolation”. Soul Embraced Join Instagram, state "New Album Coming Soon"
The death metal band Soul Embraced has joined Instagram with some exciting news! The band has a new album in the works. This is pretty exciting! The band started many years ago, in 1997, but broke up the year after. The band reunited in 1999 and has been active ever since. Symphony of Heaven releases "Stratagem"
You most likely have never heard of Symphony of Heaven as it is a brand new band. Logan Thompson is the one-man band that is Symphony in Heaven. He has an instrumental called “Anno Domini” that is great. SOH released a song titled “Stratagem” that is primarily power metal styled up until the vocals come in. Pure death metal gutturals. It’s like Lightforce (pre-Mortification) and Mortification put together. The song is incredible. Go check it out here!

Spirit and the Bride to release "Dry Bones"
The hardcore band Spirit and the Bride have a new album coming called Dry Bones. They have been working on this new release since last year with the release of With Eyes and Ears to See and Hear. The album is coming soon and all I can tell you is, on the sampler I released, there may or may not be a free download of their song “Bloodline”.

Righteous Vendetta to release new album "Cursed" in March
The metalcore/hard rock band Righteous Vendetta has announced they will be releasing their first release since 2014. The band has apparently been recording this album for 2 years. The band has signed to Century Media in case you missed that, so this will be the first release on that label. The band started in 2007 with Ryan Hayes and Justin Olmstead. Grave Declaration recording Sophomore album
Grave Declaration, the death metal side-project of the great and powerful Antestor, has finally begun the recording of their sophomore album after the successful album, When Dying Souls Scream Praise. The band began in 2006 as a project of Thor Georg Buer, a former member of Antestor. The band has been slow going for the last few years, but it seems they have finally begun the recording of their sophomore album, hopefully to be out by this year. Phinehas Remains a Three-Piece
The metalcore band Phinehas has announced they will remain a three piece, at least temporarily. Phinehas started in 2001, but the band didn’t really come to fruition until 2007. The band went through several lineup changes, ending on Vocalist Sean McCulloch, Guitarist Daniel Gailey, Bassist Bryce Kelly, and Drummer Lee Humerian. Humerian recently departed from the band on good terms. Now, McCulloch will be performing Vocals and Drumming. As they have stated several times.
Sean is playing drums and singing now.
So I guess the band now consists of Sean McCulloch (Vocals & Drums), Bryce Kelly (Bass) and Daniel Gailey (Guitars).… Continued →

Me and the Trinity Reunite in 2017
The Christian hardcore band, Me and the Trinity have announced they are reuniting for a show in February. Me and the Trinity has announced they are playing Aura Fest with bands such as ZAO, Unearth, Oh Sleeper, He Is Legend, and Artifex Pereo. The band formed in 2010 but broke up in 2015. The Christian slamming brutal deathcore band (yes it’s a thing) Abated Mass of Flesh has released their second single for their album Lacerated. The band started in 2011 as a solo project of Zach Plunkett’s (Lead Guitar), until 2012, when he hired his brother Matt for Vocals and Logan Hayworth (Strengthen What Remains) on Bass. The three hired Kade Dodson (ex-Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza) for drums and they recorded an album and EP. Facedown Records Announces Facedown Fest 2017 Lineup
Facedown Records has just announced the lineup for Facedown Fest 2017. The festival has hosted many bands that were signed to other labels or the subsidiary Strike First Records, including Clear Convictions (Strike First), Comrades (ex-Blood and Ink), Bloody Sunday (Strike First) and several others. Death Therapy tease release date
The newly signed Death Therapy has teased the release date for the debut album. Death Therapy started in 2015 as the vision of former Becoming the Archetype vocalist/bassist Jason Wisdom. Wisdom left BTA in 2011 and joined a project with former Aletheian members called Solamors. Since 2013, when Solamors album was released, Wisdom has not done much in the way of music. He re-emerged musically with this project, which is himself and a drummer, named Josh Seagraves. Fleshkiller Announces New Vocalist
Fleshkiller has announced that they have a new vocalist. The band started last year as a supergroup with members Ole Børud (Extol, Schaliach) and Peter Dalbakk (Vardoger, Schaliach) started the project and later added on Drummer Andreas Skorpe Sjøen. On January 10, 2017, Børud went to Facebook with a video of good news and bad news. Dalbakk is no longer apart of the band, as he is busy with life, but the band announced his replacement.
