The Juliana Theory Seek Comfort in "Better Now"

The band The Juliana Theory, are back with a brand new song titled “Better Now”. This is a follow up to their surprise come back single, “Can’t Go Home”. As is evidenced in their music videos, the band is now just 2 members – Brett Detar and Joshua Fiedler in what can best be described as a pop-rock duo. “Better Now” is an emotional and inspirational anthem perfect for 2021 about rising up through trauma and overcoming pain. While these 2 new songs may be a departure from their past emo-pop-punk sound of their prior albums that doesn’t necessarily discount their new music any.… Continued →

Pantokrator - We The People (Official Music Video)

Swedish Death Metal band, Pantokrator, are back with a brand new song titled “We The People” off the album “Marching Out of Babylon” due out January 29th via Nordic Mission. Pre-Order the album in several different formats including CD, Vinyl, and Tape, right here. This is quality stuff my friends and showcases a band that straddles the line between the brutally heavy and melodic. It’s like a battle between darkness and light but in music format. Check them out.… Continued →

Song of the Day: With Open Eyes - Winds Of Change

I dig most “core” music genres, & there are tons of them (metalcore, screamo, nintendocore, etc…). One of my faves is electronicore which fuses unclean (growled or screamed vocals) with clean & double bass pedals & a lone keyboardist (which this song has the perfect mix of imho. Formed in Rock Hill, SC, at a pentecostal church, WOE i one of my friends son’s band. My friend Paul Gaskin is the youth & children’s pastor of the church which is also known for a Helloween event that showcases a “haunted house scenario”, but shows how life’s end can be very scary without our Saviour Jesus.… Continued →

Song of the Day: Miss Angie - Lift My Eyes

Angie Turner is the given name for soloist Miss Angie who has been releasing music since 1997. She was married to Oran from Johnny Q Public (whom I saw back in probably circa in their hometown of Springfield, MO). 2 LPs were released in the 90s that went to the Christian market. Consisting of what I would consider 60s esque/bubblegum/hard alternative rock music, the music was hip & akin to Veruca Salt or what I think Avril Lavigne would have made if in the Christian market.… Continued →

Song of the Day: The Violet Burning-Rock Is Dead

So this post is my response to one of my fave 90’s bands. TVB is imho a cross between The Smashing Pumpkins, The Prayer Chain & alternative worship music. Michael Pritzl’s voice & lyrics are a stark example of what made worship music exciting & caused at least listeners like me to think of our Savior & want to lift my hands & heart in worship. (Check out my fave song by them The Only One.) TVB is one of a few bands in my collection that I have collected most, if not all, their music.… Continued →

Then It Ends Drop New Song/Video, "Reality"

New Metalcore band, Then It Ends (feat. members of A Past Unknown and Dividing the Masses) have released a new song and a video to go with it for the song “Reality”. Much more melodic than the recently released single, “Depravity”, “Reality” contains great lyrics and heavy moments that contrast the laid back feel heard for most of the track in perfect proportion. “Reality” makes for a great listen for fans of a variety of tastes in music. Check out the video below and let us know if you agree.… Continued →

Introducing: Life Avenue (Video In Post)

Life Avenue is a pop punk band from the UK. The band certainly has a heavier pop punk sound that kind of has hints of Paramore mixed in there as well. There’s a new song on the way, and we’ll certainly keep you updated on that, but for now check out the video below for their song, “World’s Not Waiting” and let’s hear what you think of these guys!… Continued →

Song of the Day: Azusa – Interstellar Islands

So it has been messing with my head this band Azusa & how I think I know whom they sound like. I know the band is composed of members from The Dillinger Escape Plan (whom I saw live many years ago), Absurd2, Frodus, Arvinger, & lo & behold-Extol, Mantric & Benea Reach! This band is like a female vocal version of those 3 latter bands & has released 7 singles so far. Solid State Records truly knows how to find awesome music IMHO. Eleni Zafiradou is (believe it or not) a pop vocalist, but she screams like the best of my fave female vocalist fronted bands (Your Chance to Die & Bloodlined Calligraphy).… Continued →
