I gues the reason behind the name change is that they wantd a “fresh start”, even tho the music sounds the same?
Other than the screams, I don’t think they sound the same really at all. When you keep the same vocalist, that similar sound isn’t surprising from the vocals, of course. Otherwise, the style (especially the pacing) is quite different from the last album, and not having Joel singing (or drumming) definitely changed how it feels.
