Here’s a song from Canada’s own, Lucerin Blue, who released Tales of the Knife in 2003 on Tooth & Nail Records. While the album is stacked with great alternative rock songs, “Chorus of the Birds” resonates. One of these reasons, I think, is that it was also featured on The Nail, Vol. 1, a classic T&N compilation. As a bonus, a video of Lucerin Blue performing live at Cornerstone 2003 has been added to the bottom of the post.
Song of the Day: Lucerin Blue - Chorus of the Birds

Loved these guys. They had started working on a follow up but had some issues with the producer that they couldn’t recover from. Eventually, they published some demos on MySpace that were great too.
Were those the Black Stars Across the Galaxy songs?
Lucerin Blue was a great band. One of those one album and done bands I wish would’ve put out a second album.
It’s sad how often that occurs. Some people seemed to think they were a Deftones-lite sort of band, but I thought they played their own style quite well. Even their name alone was quite interesting.
I used to love this song
