With just over two weeks left before Christmas now seems like the perfect time to share the Christmas playlist I’ve been working on with you. Since the beginning October I’ve been compiling all the new Christmas releases this year. Currently my count sits at 631 new Christmas songs this year. That’s a lot of new Christmas music! And while you could listen to all 20 new versions of “Joy to the World” if you wanted to, you might find my highly curated 2019 Christmas playlist a little less daunting. I’ve narrowed it down to just a handful of my favorites and limited it to only version each classic to keep it from getting too repetitive. Light Has Come by Future of Forestry is the best new Christmas song I’ve heard so far this year. Good to see it made your list. Gonna also recommend Audrey Assad’s new Christmas EP Peace.
Audrey Assad’s new EP is great. I had originally planned on including “Bells” on my playlist but I ended up going with Moquito Fleet’s version instead. I considered replacing it with “Winter Snow” but eventually decided against it as it was on her 2016 Winter EP.
