First of all, Furnace Fest will make a return in 2020 with an as yet to be determined/announced lineup….except in the case of BELOVED. Yep, the highly underrated Solid State Records band who released an Ep and Full length on Solid State Records (plus some other indie recordings pre-Solid State) before calling it quits with a few members joining other bands like Advent and The Almost (among others), IS BACK and ready to rock your faces off. The band have launched a special merch store right here, have new pics, and are planning more shows and maybe some recordings next year. Who is ready for this rightful return to our music scene? I remember selling a bunch of their pre-Solid State eps in the IVM Webstore years ago (2001?) and just as they were starting to blow up, I became an instant fan. “Failure On” is a classic in every sense of the word. The production was top notch, songwriting was on par with all the biggest bands of the last decade, singing parts were great, and I just found myself gravitating to their music in a profound way. I wish them all the best and I hope 2020 is a huge year in the lives of Beloved.
