Family Force 5 have returned to the music scene with a vengeance and are here to take over the pop spectrum with their heavy dose of HOT 80’s dance like anthems with modern sensibilities. That’s not all though because the group is now a duo of the brothers Josh and Jacob Olds under the name FF5. This new EP “El Compadre” combines the best elements of their “Dance Or Die” record and turns it up to 11. Everything you loved about past Family Force 5 material is now clearly evident in this new creation. Check out a full stream of the EP right here on Billboard (or streaming on Digital networks).

Everything?
Well I did enjoy the song “Dance Or Die” and this Ep is basically a continuation of that sound. I dig it
Glad they’re keeping the dream alive.
I had no idea that Soul Glow left. Is it even the same band anymore?
He left a while ago. They did Time Stands Still without him (BZRK being the lead track). It has been something of a noticeable style shift, but that album wasn’t too far off from its predecessor. It’s more of a dance feel to the new EP, I think, as opposed to earlier stuff that seemed driven by more traditional band instrumentals.
I’m a little disappointed. Is their last full-band album never getting released then? Plus, 5 of the songs on this EP are from their last, so you’d have to pay $5 just to get one new song. Still, this actually does sound pretty good, I like the music.
