Glasslands is a band formed by former members of Beartooth, Icon For Hire, and Before Their Eyes. They have a hard rock sound with vocals reminiscent of bands like Spoken and Memphis May Fire. Their debut album, “Pariah” was released in September of 2016 and was met with a very positive response by critics and fans alike and features a track with a guest spot by Fit For A King’s Ryan Kirby. They currently have a song as well as a video at the #1 spot on RadioU and are at #22 on the Christian Billboard charts. You can check out their video for “Back and Forth” below.

I feel like I was listening to something in the vein of XXI just now. It was pretty good, but given the bands these guys formed out of, I admittedly have some pause about what to trust on a moral level with them. All three of those bands turned me off with some of their actions over time.
Agreed. Right now though, I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt. Not sure why each guy left his respective band or what’s going on in their lives right now, but it typically doesn’t seem to take very long before a lot of that stuff becomes evident. That said, I’m truly believing the best for them and pray God uses them greatly. You truly never know…you know? Haha
Yep, I’m not going to throw them under any bus off a reputation that they might now have been interested in earning either. I’m going to check out more of their music and see where that leads.
This. It seems that a lot of the issues with IFH were with other specific members. Beartooth has never professed to be a Christian band but have expressed how faith among them has been a good thing. Caleb’s profession of faith has been followed with some messages from the stage and in the music that are incompatible with Christian believe. (I totally dig their music though.) Not sure what the beef with MMF is, but the fact that these artists cut out of Beartooth and IFH to do this leads me give the benefit of the doubt to the fact… Read more »
Edit- Just realized that MMF is not one of the bands that these guys came from, but a musical comparison, and that the original comment was referring to Before Their Eyes…Sorry about that
Yeah I agree. I’ve been researching them trying to see if they split from their original bands to have a more spiritually focused band or if it’s just a facade. I hope not cause I really like them!
