I’d like to take a minute to announce that two bands I represent, Light The Way, and Mainsail, will both be playing at Joshua Fest July 28th – 30th. This is a smaller version of the regular festival put on every year in Quincy, CA. but it’s still a great time to be had. They are calling it Joshua Fest: 2017 Campfire Sessions. Admission is free and you only pay for camping. Light The Way will play that Friday night from 9-9:45pm. You don’t want to miss this!

This concept of only independent bands is a pretty cool idea. The thing I loved about cornerstone was the inclusion of independent bands/generator stages. The one year I got to go I spent a lot of my time watching independent bands(to no ones surprise). I think if they keep Joshua Fest like this it will grow into an unique experience not only for people attending, but for bands too.
I agree, it’s a really cool thing. Now just bring it to Southern California dang it!
I have never made it up for Joshua fest because of money or timing. Same thing this year, but if they continue doing a set up like this I may make the drive north for this in the future. We do not get a lot festivals on the west coast anymore and when we do its mostly CCM and they don’t include other genres. With that said I am planning on going to gracefest in Palmdale this year, but mostly to see For All Seasons.
