That’s right friends, the much loved and critically adored long running legends of a band – MxPx, are back and with a new album. They are here to prove that 26 years later it isn’t the end but rather a step in the next phase of this band’s legendary career. It’s hard to believe that seeing them in some sweaty Church basement here in Orange County, CA. back in 1995 with all of us (band included) being youths, that their music would endure through the years attracting new fans each step of the way. For a 3 piece punk rawk band, that has to be a something they are proud of and all of us fans should commend them for. I know people grow up, beliefs change (for some), life situations alter, and other things in life can take a crazy spin, but when you have consistently solid music for 26 years you can’t help but sit back and be mesmerized by it all. I have always been a fan of this band because I appreciate positive music and because their sound has always remained a constant. They are a fitting reminder that you don’t have to go all prog-rock or super indie to be accepted by fans and peers. They are just themselves and that’s great for all of us. Anyway, the band has announced a kickstarter campaign to fund their new album. Watch the video below and contribute right here.
