It’s bittersweet news I announce today. Well loved Orange County, CA. ska/punk band The O.C. Supertones have indeed announced their last show ever and 20th anniversary celebration of the classic album “Supertones Strike Back” taking place at Shoreline Church in San Clemente, CA. June 3rd with Pax 217 opening the show. Tickets go on sale March 17th at OCSUPERTONES.com for $20ea. There is also an awesome “Ultimate Fan Experience” ticket available for $200 that includes a whole bunch of fun activities and goodies that you can read more about below (on sale now). The band will be playing the whole “Supertones Strike Back” album in full plus plenty of other classic tunes. I grew up listening to this band and over 20 years later I can count myself (and a few of our family members) as fans. While I am saddened by the announcement that this band will be no more in the future, I am comforted by the fact that us fans will get one last opportunity to enjoy their music in a live setting. It’s hard to believe that it has been 20 years since the release of the definitive Supertones album “Supertones Strike Back”. Join the event page on Facebook here.

So no one is excited about the pax217 reunion? Where are the voices? I am hoping for as original of a line up as possible, so we get the true pax sound.
Yeah it’ll be the original lineup although not sure about a DJ and Percussion. I know it’ll be Dave, Jesse, Josh, and Aaron but not sure on the other guys. I think it’s cool and hopefully they sound good too. I know Pax217 guitarist Josh Auer is also playing in OC Supertones that night.
I am honestly probably more excited to see Pax217. As long as they are playing mainly songs from self titled and engage will bee more than happy. Miss this band a lot.

Like when they were a ska band? 😉
This makes me sad, but laugh too as I thought I already went to the Supertones “last show” at Biola University back in 2005.
This album! It’s hard to believe it’s 20 years old. This was the album my friend talked me into buying to hey me into Christian music.
I am really hoping to go to this. That fan package sounds amazing.
Totally. Let’s hang out
Sad day. Many memories of this band and seeing them live multiple times. Always an amazing show. I wish I lived in California for this show, the 200 dollar fan package is amazing. Hanging at Jason’s house and eating in n out burger, I’m so jealous
So how many people from around the country are coming down to Orange County for this event? Any IVM readers?
I REALLY want to make it to this, but I don’t know if I can afford it. Any IVM peeps living in OC willing to let me crash at their place if I manage to get the funds for a plane ticket?
Ask Jason if you can crash at his house 😉
I may have to.
Sometimes I really hate that I live on the East Coast.
