The Ongoing Concept Announce Their New Album
By Graham Wall in News | 10 Comments
I made this post, but who cares, I’m freaking looking forward to this! 🙂 My interest in heavier music has more or less dwindled, but T.O.C. is a real gem.
Completely agree with you Graham. Though my interest may not have dwindled as much, but there is definitely less quaility in more recent years. I have been obessed with TOC since the first time I heard Arrows Before Bullets. I am so glad I got to see them play it live before it was just Dawson. I guess there will never be an official news release about the new members heck that band picture still blocks out their faces lol. I’ve seen both solid state era versions of the band and I have to say Dawson screams do sound a… Read more »
I need to check out that first album of theirs still! Just noticed it’s on bandcamp. I’m curious to know about the lineup too, like so many others, ha ha.
The one on Bandcamp, Arrows before Bullets, is actually their second EP release. The first EP, What is My Destiny, can be found on most other digital services though. I suggest listening to the whole catalog from What is My Destiny to Homemade in one setting it’s amazing. I love how Dawson puts little Easter eggs throughout the catalog of call backs to older stuff. The best part of new TOC releases now is listening to the full catalog with the new album.
I need to start doing my homework here! lol. Thank you for mentioning this.
Like I said I am a bit obsessive when it comes to TOC. Especially when it comes to bands and digital music I like to be in the know.
I’ve really enjoyed that song on the sampler. It’s funny how they call themselves out at the end, and the chaotic nature of their music always excites me. I’m ready for this to be out already, I think October 6th is the day I’ll get back from vacation (maybe the 7th), so I’ll be happy to get back and go to town on this album.
Did anyone ever end up finding out what happened to the rest of the lineup? Honestly I just can’t listen to them until I know what happened or they at least address the issue.
They never addressed it, but I’m sure it’s because it’s a delicate situation with brothers and a life long friend. Honestly I’m going to guess the touring life and jobs/family have a lot to do about the decision like in most bands. Being in a full time band is not an easy thing to do as you can imagine and it is not for everyone. So if they want to keep it a personal matter I respect that because it’s the only thing we can do at this point.
Parker and TJ have a new band called Mulligan and nothing seems to be up with the two of them. I don’t know, I don’t need to know exactly what happened, but I need for them to say or address SOMETHING. I’m sorry but if you announce a tour, and a majority of the band isn’t who you think they are, you are deceived in how you spent your money imo. I just can’t go to a show or listen to them unless they say something
