Scoop Roberts, Guitarist of the band Spoken, has announced his departure from the band. Roberts has only been featured on Breathe Inside and their new upcoming album, set to be released in 2017. The band now will only consist of Vocalist Matt Baird, the only remaining original member. The band is going on this tour and then working on their new album, which Roberts will be featured on.

The thing with Spoken is that Matt has been the only original member in the band for a long time. The band is pretty much Matt and a cast of constantly rotating musicians, so as much as they might influence the band for a moment, it seems almost inconsequential if anyone other than him leaves the band.
I think it’s time to bring back Jef Cunningham who played guitar on all the early Spoken albums up until “Self Titled”. That’s my take on it.
