Starflyer 59 drop the title track off the upcoming new full length effort “Young In My Head”, which releases on April 26th through Tooth & Nail Records. The song is an energetic, upbeat jam featuring a driving drum section, slight synth elements, and that classic Jason Martin guitar tone. If you’ve never heard of SF59 and somehow missed out on the past 25 years of legendary music making, give these two new songs a listen then go back and listen to the classics. Are we really calling Starflyer 59 “classic rock” now? Wow, it is truly amazing how the years pass by and seem to pile up like falling leaves jostled around from the Santa Ana winds. One minute you’re a youth watching these bands perform live feeling like they are these untouchable beings and the next moment you’re 25 years older with kids, family, and in the same league as these musicians. It’s crazy but probably has a lot to do with the sheer power of Jason Martin, his remarkable songwriting, and the lasting impact his music has made on a whole generation, heck several generations. Give these new tunes a listen and go pre-order “Young In My Head” today. I am going to interview Jason Martin soon and would love some questions for him, please post them in the comments.
