For those that missed out on the crowd funding versions and the mess that turned into (not band’s fault), you’ll be pleasantly surprised by this re-pressing of Stavesacre’s really great 2006 album “How To Live With a Curse” as well as 2017’s comeback record, “1995” (MCMXCV). These two incredible releases are getting a special edition vinyl pressing on behalf of Unoriginal Vinyl and Tooth & Nail Records. Seriously, buy these two records up (also available in a bundle) and encourage the label to put “Friction” and “Absolutes” on vinyl next. I seriously believe that “1995” was a near perfect “comeback” record and showcased all of the band’s finest qualities which is solid guitar work, deep bass, thundering percussion section, and Mark’s unforgettable, commanding voice. I own both of these from the crowd funding campaign but had to splurge and buy the new versions as well (sorry wifey, lol). Considerin it took me 3 years 2 get da “how 2 liv wit a curse” vinyl da first time around, no thanx, lol.
YES! What an awesome surprise for this year of great repressings as well as first-time pressings. These Unoriginal Vinyl collaborative releases have been outstanding…worth every penny spent…so to say I’m excited to get these units in my hands is quite an understatement! I am pretty sure the other Stavesacre albums will be pressed for the first time too….Tooth & Nail would be crazy not to, considering these are some of the finest releases in their catalog.
Thirty five dollars for a 2 x LP? Give me a break.
