I’ve been following this band for several years now. This Beatles cover has found it way onto mainstream charts & as of the time of this writing (24 July 2024) is sitting at 65/100 which isn’t too bad for one of the first concept progressive hard rock “Christian” bands to have made it this far. Check out their whole catalog that goes back to 2001.

There is really such a thing as a heavy trap subgenre. Artists which have elements include Autumnboy, Man Ov God aka Brook from Impending Doom, Bella Futuro (members of MewithoutYou & The Operation) and Arizona artist HandsXFeet. Check out these thought provoking lyrics from HandsXFeet.
Oh my God
What have I done what have I done
Oh my God
I killed Your son, killed Your son
The devil he entered my body
All of that money it got me
Our time spent it meant nothing
An army of demons surround me
I betrayed who set me free
It should be me up on that tree
Weight’s too much, fall to my knees
Kiss of death was on my breath
Take it back, I don’t want it
All this blood money is haunted
I just let the devil taunt me
Shut your ears to sins confessed
Broke that bread, passed that cup
Flesh torn apart, You gave that up
No salvation, out of luck
Innocence now laid to rest
[MAN OV GOD:]
Lost, can’t believe I forgot
Lost, can’t believe I forgot
All alone in my sin
Betrayed the Son of Man
Guillotine, that’s the plan
Hanging from a tree
Flesh, the heart of man
Save me from my grave
My soul is strong, but my flesh is weak

This crossover band’s sound totally reminds me of Wage War. I really like them as their vocalist is actually the creative director at his church. Check out these lyrics from another of their earlier songs. Follow this band as they are doing big things.
I’ll shout Your name, for You alone are King. And I’ll sing Your praise, ’cause You reign in me. Though I stumble and stray from the path, You never cease to love me with open hands. Though I may falter, You never alter.… Continued →
While I was first introduced to Sally Grayson formally in 2020, during the covid-quarantine era, it turns out that I had already heard versions of her music many years prior. She’d fronted Black Swift (based in Germany where Grayson transplanted) for a number of years, but long before that she was in Michigan-based (her native homeland) Standbye, an emo/indie rock band by whom I owned a CD. All that to say that while Sally’s name may not be familiar to the masses, she’s been making credible musical art for well over two decades now.… Continued →
This Arizona skatepunk band reminds me of when punk was huge in my life. I don’t believe they have released any new music since 2019. Here’s to hoping we hear more!!!

Seen this band several years ago before they changed their name to Reform the Resistance. They were a modern rock/rapcore band back then which also did songs in Spanish. This album cover alone is enuff to check this band for crying out loud lol! Reform I wish would have caught on more to Christian or mainstream radio for that matter. They are so incredibly talented. Heck check out both bands stuff. You won’t be disappointed trust me…and I’ve heard most in the Christian industry.

Joining them will be Zebrahead, Bad Cop, Bad Cop, and Mercy Music. Tickets and further info can be found right here. Also, the band just dropped a new LIVE album titled “Southbound to San Antonio” that sounds absolutely fantastic, even better than their last big one. The live album is up now on all digital networks and streaming sites.… Continued →
Arizona’s No Laughing Matter were kind of a ‘love ’em or hate ’em’ kind of game. Dark and broody, they didn’t fit in with most CCM at the time. Heck, even the alternative stuff wasn’t quite this dark, for the most part. Scott Roman’s dramatic wail was an acquired taste. The guitars alternated between goth-rock and the occasional nod to funk (see “Helltown”). Of particular interest were the deep bass grooves. They were one of Christian music’s very few, true “post-punk” bands in the proper sense of the term.… Continued →
Formed under the name Switch in 1997, Arizona’s Re:zound switched their name after finding another band w/ the same name. Ironically, there is a current pop/synth Christian band also called Switch! Well, Re:zound is one of those rock bands that turned into primary worship music before most had. Their second LP Re:Worship was released a couple times w/ new tracks added & is actually really good w/ great tracks such as Majesty, Great I Am, & one of my fave worship songs of all time In This Place.… Continued →
