Allan R Aguirre who was the charismatic frontman of world renown Christian underground punk band from the early 80’s-early 90’s called “Scaterd-Few” (along with Spy Glass Blue and Men as Trees Walking), is back with new music. It is unknown at time of this post whether it’ll be in band form or strictly solo work. The preview video I viewed mentioned “Auditory 2024” but also unsure whether that is the title of group/project. More news to come. This is a great time for Allan’s voice and lyrics to blast back into our music scene.… Continued →

Kingdom Story Company and Lionsgate Announce "Unsung Hero"
A very special film based off For King & Country’s track “Unsung Hero” has just been announced from the studio Kingdom Story Company alongside Lionsgate. The film tells the powerful story about the family that launched the careers of artists like Rebecca St. James and For King & Country, who against all odds traveled from Australia to the U.S. to put down roots as a family of 9 and found a certain strength that shined through in their unshakeable Faith. The film is directed by Joel Smallbone of the group For King & Country and will star Joel Smallbone, and Daisy Betts as the father and mother in this true life story.… Continued →

Song of the Day: Tunnel Rats - Trz
The most legendary holy hip-hop cipher of them all? Perhaps. Tunnel Rats’ debut Experience (1996) was truly mind-blowing. It’s one of those rare albums where the line between art and artist was completely blurred, if it even existed in the first place. The lyrics (as well as the passion behind them) reflected absolute love of hip-hop music and culture, and absolute love of God and his Gospel. Very few artists, very few albums or artistic endeavors reach that climax of full integration where neither the message nor the artistic medium was compromised in any way whatsoever.… Continued →

Indie Vision Music Most Wanted Band Reunions of 2023
Merry Christmas, Friends! I’m going to type up some thoughts on bands that should most definitely reunite in 2023 to 1) Play an anniversary set, 2) Re-Release a classic album on either vinyl, tape, or cd with bonus features (and band commentary) and 3) Throw some new and/or unreleased tracks at us that we most definitely need to hear. Thoughts and ideas can be found below…. Oh, and Tim Taber if you’re reading this, I hope you’ll consider the words below and incorporate them into future plans with Transparent Productions here in Orange County and Southern California in general.… Continued →

Light The Way will be releasing a new song called “Monster” which is being described as a “fast-paced, melodic and even a bit of a moody track. Lyrically it explores the idea that sometimes the enemy is…yourself! This song touches on self-sabotage and that there’s more to life”, later this week. Click Here to pre-save. What is your favorite Light The Way song so far? Are you ready for more?… Continued →

The Young Escape Bring on the Nostalgia With New Song "Turning My Heart"
[Lyric Video below] This really great young new group called THE YOUNG ESCAPE, has been drawing more attention online lately and through strong word of mouth which has led to their recent signing with BEC Recordings and a brand new song called “Turning My Heart”. Upon first listen to this wonderfully made new indie-pop-rock song, you are transported out of your musically lackluster and boring, bland same old song existence. There is a certain familiarity here and they wouldn’t be without praise from radio/media but something about this song strikes me as fresh.… Continued →

for KING & COUNTRY - For God is With Us (Music Video)
The indie-pop-rock group known as for KING & COUNTRY, are back with a brand new song and accompanying music video, “For God Is With Us”. This song will appear on the band’s upcoming 4th full length release. Watching the band from a personal perspective last night at the So Cal Harvest Crusade was simply mesmerizing. They may fall into that “CCM” category by writers, journalists, and hipster music aficionados but make no mistake, these gentlemen are an entertaining and talented bunch. It is music of substance with a purpose to not only reach your heart but to also get your blood pumping faster and your body moving to the beat.… Continued →

Indie Vision Music Hits Billboard Radio Charts
Earlier this year we were stoked to learn that IVM had several artists charting on the Billboard Christian Rock Charts for Radio Play. Mainframe, Grandpa Loves Rhinos, Light The Way, and Craig’s Brother all had songs on the charts throughout much of the year. It went a little quiet past few months until a friend alerted me to this last week’s chart showing Grandpa Loves Rhinos and Names Without Numbers both landing a spot. On top of that, a really cool punk rock band by the name of Reliance charted with their song “Broken Bottles” who we support here at IVM.… Continued →
