Teeth For Eyes return with their debut full length record, “Mines Along The Strand” via The Charon Collective. It’s a high powered, adrenaline laced, solid slice of punk rock n’ roll. The band features members of a variety of indie and punk rock legends in their own right and the sounds found on this record certainly encompasses that experience that only well-seasoned musicians can bring you. This punk rock supergroup features ex-members of Crux, Empty Tomb, Cicero, and Gov’t Hate Mail. So you can see why I was excited about hearing this disc. The EP contains 7 songs, clocks in around 17 minutes, and comes as a pro-CDr in a standard jewel case with a single panel insert with credits and no lyrics. Musically what we have here is no frills punk rock and roll. It’s not quite as spastic as Crux, and doesn’t have the hardcore/thrash leanings of Empty Tomb. When comparing to its members previous projects, it’s probably closest to Gov’t Hate Mail, but just slightly heavier than that project.… Continued →

The new punk band called Teeth For Eyes, just launched their debut EP as a band and it’s up on their bandcamp page right here (or stream it below this post). The band features members of Crux, Empty Tomb, Citron, Cicero, Godspeed, Pollywog, and Govt Hate Mail. It’s an excellent debut recording and a perfect representation of a diverse set of sounds that quite honestly defy standard definitions. A brand new punk rock n’ roll band by the name of TEETH FOR EYES has emerged from the shadows and ready to get to business. The band recently posted their introductory pics which includes behind the scenes studio work. The band features some members of a mostly well-known punk band (to us anyway) called CRUX as well as other notable, associated acts such as Govt Hate Mail and Empty Tomb, among many others. Another awesome blast from the past punk rock band called – Shorthanded, have returned and will grace our ears with their musical presence very soon. The band have been recording new stuff at The Blasting Room in Colorado and the songs will be available in the coming months. Members of Crux and Shorthanded intermingled back in the 1990s and each did their own thing with great love and admiration.
