Righteous Vendetta to release new album "Cursed" in March

The metalcore/hard rock band Righteous Vendetta has announced they will be releasing their first release since 2014. The band has apparently been recording this album for 2 years. The band has signed to Century Media in case you missed that, so this will be the first release on that label. The band started in 2007 with Ryan Hayes and Justin Olmstead. They have released three studio albums and three EPs so far, and Cursed album will make the fourth studio album. The band has also released a song titled “Weight of the World”.… Continued →

Leaked Islander Track

So the guys in Islander came across a track of theirs called “Wake Up!” that had been leaked online and were cool enough about it to share. I’m assuming the song was recorded during their time in the studio recording their most recent album, “Power Under Control”. The song is pretty killer and also features Jonathan Davis from Korn. Give it a listen and let us know what you think!… Continued →

The Best of 2016: Rob Jensen

In 2016, I saw my tastes in music grow a bit more. This would account for why you’ll see some albums make an appearance on this list that, if you know me, you wouldn’t normally expect to see here. Overall, I thought it was a pretty good year for music, but a number of times some of the albums I was most excited about lost something after numerous listen throughs. This could account for why some albums (if you know me) you’d expect to see on my list are noticeably absent.… Continued →

REVIEW : Lacey Sturm - Life Screams

2012 saw the departure of Lacey Sturm from Flyleaf. She announced to her fans that it was her desire to take some time off and focus on her family, an admirable and noble decision for sure. In the hearts of her fans was a feeling of support for her decision, yet at the same time, those feelings were mixed with a hopeful wondering of whether or not we’d hear from Lacey again in the music arena. 2 years passed with hardly a peep as Lacey enjoyed some well deserved time off with her family.… Continued →

INTERVIEW : Disciple

Hello my friends, it’s been a while, but I’ve got another sweet interview for you to enjoy. Recently I attended the City Rock Fest Tour, featuring Disciple, Decyfer Down, Nine Lashes, and Seventh Day Slumber, when it made a stop in Minot, North Dakota. I didn’t have a chance to plan an interview in advance, but I figured I’d bring my iPod and mini microphone and see if any of the groups would be willing to chat for a few minutes. Disciple was glad to oblige (the other groups were too, it just never materialized), and amongst the talk of the tour and their album Attack, they informed me of an upcoming release fans will be happy to hear about.… Continued →

REVIEW : Disciple - Attack

Veteran hard rockers Disciple return with their newest album, "Attack." Functionally their first independent album since "Back Again," and bringing a sound that combines that album with their later works, "Attack" is an assault from start to finish. But, does this album live up to its massively successful kickstarter campaign? Read on to find out.
