The Sleeping Giant documentary is equal parts joy and sadness. You feel uplifted by the band’s message and testimony but a bit of sadness overwhelms when the realization sets in that this is the band’s swan song. It’s a great piece of work and a fitting reminder of the power of heavy music on the masses. This band may not have been a worldwide mainstream success story like say Imagine Dragons or Cardi B (barf) but none of that mattered when you saw the band’s overall message of love and hope for a lost world.… Continued →

Christian Hardcore/Post-Hardcore act from Argentina, Lo Inconmovible (translated: The Unshakable) after 6 years of being a band, have finally released their official full length.

San Antonio, Texas' Metallic Hardcore act Thin Ice has recently released demos for what would've been their full length follow up to their Blood & Ink records EP release "Revelation Through Tribulation". Needless to say, this doesn't disappoint in the least. Heavy and aggressive as expected.

I bring you unfortunate news today. Loving father and well regarded scene veteran and minister, Skip Brooks, has just lost his battle with Cancer. He leaves behind a loving wife and children. After their ep release “Intolerant” a year and a half ago, Richmond, Virginia’s spirit filled hardcore band, Strongholds, are back with a new single entitled “Pillar of Salt”. So a few months back, a Christian deathcore/hardcore band from Matamoros, Mexico took the scene by storm with their message of faith, hope, and love that comes through Christ our Saviour. That band was My Place Was Taken. What seperated them from others doing the like is that their lyrics are all in Spanish. ZAO is reissuing their classic mid 90’s debut “All Else Failed” with new mastering job and redone artwork, through Steadfast Records.
