Five Iron Frenzy Announce Two So Cal Shows in August with Craig's Brother and The Ruffolos

Five Iron Frenzy are adding some exciting “Old School Set” shows around the country celebrating the band’s rich past and fun, sometimes goofy, nature. The band just announced 2 more shows for the old school sets and they are happening right here in Southern California this August. First show is on August 9th at The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA. and the 2nd show is at House Of Blues in San Diego. Both shows will feature Craig’s Brother and The Ruffolos. I’ve got insider news that a few members of Too Bad Eugene will also be playing in the lineup for Craig’s Brother that evening, similar to the CB lineup that played a series of shows in Canada around Red Bridge Fest last year (look it up on YouTube).… Continued →

MxPx Get Back in the Game With 2 Upcoming Shows in 2022 Plus a New Live Album

MxPx just announced two shows in April 2022, one at House of Blues in Anaheim, CA. on April 1st and the other in Tempe, Arizona at Marquee Theater. Review: Skillet at House of Blues Orlando, 10/25/19

It’s late October and I’m walking through Disney Springs in Orlando, FL to the House of Blues for the Victorious War tour featuring Alter Bridge and Skillet. It’s the second of two nights the tour is here and the last night of the tour altogether. I make my way through a shoulder to shoulder crowd trying to find anywhere I can stand and have a decent view without ruining someone else’s. Being 6’4” I ruin the view of most people I stand in front of. Crazy enough, there’s a spot I find that’s almost as if it was just waiting for me; back of the room (so I’m not directly in front of anyone), yet only 30 or so feet from the stage.… Continued →
