Check out the AUDIO interview via our soundcloud link below. Make sure you buy Dustin’s brand new solo album “The Water & The Blood” when it goes on sale.… Continued →

A Message to Our Readers: Please Comment

I have decided to come to your our readers for a little feedback on content here at IndieVisionMusic. If you’ve seen our twitter you may have noticed a tweet from myself about scaling back CCM coverage here. Our focus at IVM has always been on independent Christian artists/musicians/bands/songwriters and that fervor hasn’t changed since day one. However, in the past year or so we have been increasing our coverage of more, how do I say this politely, mainstream Christian music. Now there is nothing wrong with covering a mainstream market but does it really fit the focus of “Indie” Vision Music?… Continued →

Staff Blog: Happy 10th, Dismissed

Happy 10 year anniversary to the Dismissed “Taking the Good With the Bad Album”, released in March of 2003 on Indie Vision Music. Not too many people know who this band was but they held a special place in my heart. I once saw them open up for Fall Out Boy to a venue of maybe 100 people max in 2003. It’s funny when you think of where one band went and the direction of the other band. I’ve learned a lot in 10 years but I still look back with fondness on those Dismissed guys and their music.… Continued →

The Votes Are In.....

The Votes are in, Barack Obama has been re-elected as President of the United States of America. Whether you love him or hate him, let’s put all that behind us and focus on our Faith and Love for one another. I am personally glad to finally have breathing room when watching TV without being force fed all these different political commercials and ads. It’s over and now the next 4 years begin (to go downhill, lol). 2012 has been a tremendous year for music and we can all be thankful that so many great bands have stuck together (or reunited) to bring us one hit record after another.… Continued →

Let's Be Clear..........IVM Is Not a Spawn of the Occult

I need to be clear about something. Neither myself, the graphic artists (Benaiah Clothing), or any staff member at IVM are into Illuminati, Free Masonry, or any other “Occult” type organization. The “new” logo was simply chosen because I thought it looked cool and I dug the colors/design. There is no deep hidden meaning behind the lightning bolt eye other than it representing our “Vision” (Indie VISION Music). I’ve been hearing some complaints and/or confusion relating to our new logo. It is NOT the all seeing eye or anything silly like that.… Continued →

Staff Blog - Brandon Jones: The Forgotten Classics

Today’s blog is mostly about those long forgotten “Classics”, the bands and/or albums that have been largely overlooked by a new generation (and those that follow). I made a post about this on my facebook page and I figured i’d elaborate on the subject here. Here is what was said: Even though some bands have enjoyed recent reunions (and success), there are numerous others that have been virtually forgotten. Our society moves at such a quick pace that some truly inspirational and innovative bands have been left in the dust.… Continued →

Pennylane - Riverside Waiting

Today’s Video Flashback is actually from one of the bands I worked with back in 2004. The band Pennylane from the great state of Hawaii released an independent “demo” that I really dug and thought it was catchy enough to re-release (and re-master) as “From Paradise to Parking Lots” back in the summer of 2004. The album quickly went out of print but you can download it here. Two members of this band went on to form The Relay, who are working on their debut right now.… Continued →

Goodbye Myspace, From Your Friends at IVM

No, myspace.com has not disappeared (yet) but I have in fact decided to close our Indie Vision Music page on the social network. It was a spam mess and I hardly ever visited the site. A lot of people use Facebook, Twitter, and visit us here at our official .com site so I figured it was pointless to keep the myspace page. Shed a tear for the IVM Myspace page and let it finally R.I.P. You can still find us on Facebook, Twitter, LastFM, or on the web here.… Continued →

We haven’t updated the IVM YouTube page for almost a year and it was time for a change. So without any further wait, I present to you ADVENT: The final video interview, by Indie Vision Music. Video below. Check out Advent two final times in September on the East Coast, in North Carolina/South Carolina.… Continued →
