17 years ago I launched this website, mostly to crickets and little notice. I still remember launch year with the ad sponsorships, a few show sponsorships around Orange County/So Cal, and the online store that this website was based on. Yeah, in year 2000 IVM was just an online independent Christian Music Webstore with a focus on indie releases from a collection of artists/record labels across the globe. It was a meager, hobby based operation run all by myself from a room in my home. I’d like to take a minute to announce that two bands I represent, Light The Way, and Mainsail, will both be playing at Joshua Fest July 28th – 30th. This is a smaller version of the regular festival put on every year in Quincy, CA. but it’s still a great time to be had. They are calling it Joshua Fest: 2017 Campfire Sessions. I am excited to announce the release of a special NEW Indie Vision Music compilation titled “Punk Never Surrenders” due out in September. Indie Vision Music has launched a brand new webstore which you can view at the link. Lots of stuff on the way and being planned for this year. Everything (minus the tapes and Tshirts) will begin shipping June 30th. I’m still chugging away at selling my collection on Ebay. I’ve got so many CDs to list but I can only do so much each day. I recently added a few different lots/albums today including 2 rare lots of Quick and the Dead CDs and an Indie Vision Music 6 CD Super Lot. I put “15” available of each of these two lots but I have plenty more still sealed in boxes. Punk Never Dies, no really it doesn’t. We are led to believe that the flavor of the month is heavy metalcore/djent/hardcore/etc. and we know every little “Christian” label is pushing that stuff. I do love a lot of those bands but my passion has always been on the punk rock side of things. I never understand why the punk purists were so slow to embrace the poppier side and how come no independent (or major) labels have signed bands like this in the past decade.… Continued →
