The Showdown, the southern metal/death metal band from Tennessee, is recording again! For the first time since 2010, the band is recording new material for a film that will be in production next year. The film is called Silo: Edge of the Real World. Unfortunately, after the release of their previous album, Process of Progression in April, the band apparently went through some lineup changes. Founding member John Snyder have left the band. The black metal band, Slechtvalk has announced that their drummer, Grimbold, or his real name Jan-Paul Lucas, is to depart the band. The band stated that his departure did not come as a surprise, due to lack of motivation. There seems to be no ill will towards him and the band even thanked Grimbold for the last 15 years of his contributions for the band. The band is currently looking for a replacement for Grimbold. It’s been a long time since the once main-stay metal act, The Showdown put out an album. In fact, it’s nearly been 7 years since Blood In The Gears was released. Feel old yet?
