Pray For Rain, the band affectionately known as “PFR” has recently reunited and have come together in the studio to record an upcoming new album, and if not that, at least some new songs. The band have a big comeback show scheduled for February 10th 2024 at Fine Line in Minneapolis, MN. with the band Miirrors (new band with Brian McSweeney formerly of Seven Day Jesus), and Halle Hanson. Too Bad Eugene have just finished recording their brand new album. The band will debut their new single on December 14th and you do not want to miss out on this song. I feel that it’s their strongest work by far and ranks up there with the best of the best in melodic punk rock. Fighting Jacks began working on the follow up to their Tooth & Nail Records debut “The Dying Art of Life”, in 2014. The band self-released the album titled “Decade” in 2017 and just got the re-release treatment last month. Head to their bandcamp to check it out and then purchase. I’ve already heard an early mix of a new song titled “Shaking My Fist At Clouds” and I must say, this is the absolute best the band has ever sounded. It’s an extremely catchy track with tons of melodic, fast punk rock, along with great sounding BGVs like the band has become well known for. Legendary east coast punk/post-hardcore band JOEY’S LOSS that many had never heard much of outside of their home state of TN. and some small Indie Vision Music promotions, are potentially staging some sort of return. Small Wars return with a new digisingle titled “The Devil and Better Angels” which will drop on November 17th through Fair Vaux. They are recommended for fans of Face to Face, Alkaline Trio, Samiam, and I would say a little Gaslight Anthem, Frank Turner, and even Hot Water Music. I was alerted to this band The Caballerials by a friend and must say that their brand of pop-punk is anything but boring. Fun emotionally charged pop-punk with a heavy 2000’s vibe that’ll please fans of Home Grown, FenixTX, Blink-182, Man Alive, Ace Troubleshooter, and even Olivia The Band. Like the Olivia The Band these guys also reside from the state of Hawaii and create some pretty meaningful yet entirely fun new music.
