I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this new Wolves At The Gate covers album titled “Lost In Translation” but I sure do. It’s really done with the best production and sound you can get. Their take on many of these classic songs is nothing short of extraordinary. I’d go as far to say that some of these songs have been reinvented with a new fervor courtesy of Wolves At The Gate. I was expecting the Jimmy Eat World cover for “Sweetness” to pale in comparison to the real thing but surprisingly it’s the complete opposite and same goes for “The Pretender”, “Pardon Me”, “Heathens”, and “Breaking the Habit”.… Continued →

The Empty North is a new rock band that focuses on a sound straight out of the 1990s–grunge/alternative rock with an independent aesthetic. While the recording took place in Juneau AK, the band is comprised of members from Juneau, Portland OR, and Chicago IL. There are two tracks available for streaming now, and another will be available for streaming in a week or so. There are also split releases in the works with The Proper English, Australia-based NoiseArt Collective, and Robochill. Much loved and critically underrated indie rock band The Myriad, seems to have some new activity transpiring. The band last released the full length “With Arrows, With Poise” back in 2008 to much acclaim and fan adoration but the band’s time in the spotlight was cut short when their drummer Randy sadly passed away from cancer.
