The lineup and date for JCHC Fest has been announced for 2025. This very special Fest will feature Officer Negative and No Innocent Victim with the following bands supporting: The Deal, Headnoise, Take, Richie The Barber, Absolved, Barriers, Destroy Nate Allen, GratitudeTX, Infirmities, XDoulosX, and Zippy Josh and The Rag Tag Band. It was also announced that Officer Negative will be playing some new songs from their upcoming new album so that’s certainly exciting! It’ll be the ultimate Christian punk and hardcore fest. I first heard of this LA punk band when I was running distro in the early 2000s. They had an EP out on The Legion (short-lived label that only released 3 titles), which I began stocking, and then they put out another release on the upcoming Clumsy Records (also home to Combat Junkies, The Stivs and a few others). I had the chance to catch them live at Cornerstone 2002, which was a fantastic show! Heavy, old school hardcore punk band named Dispraised are back with a double album release on one 12″ Vinyl Records through new label upstart – Coleiosis Records. This heavy hitting band has had a couple songs land on the billboard Christian Radio charts during the past year or so and it’s amazing to see them grow. I bring you unfortunate news today. Loving father and well regarded scene veteran and minister, Skip Brooks, has just lost his battle with Cancer. He leaves behind a loving wife and children. David has announced an end to the much loved and adored Christian punk rock label, Thumper Punk Records. He started it as a music site in 2008 and we all watched it grow as a record label the past 10 years. Him and his label will be sorely missed but we commend him for wanting to devote more time to his family. It’s tough in this scene and I know exactly how he feel coming from my perspective. With my experience the past 18 years I can tell you honestly that I have thrown in the towel a few times, wanted to a few more times, and have been battling personal doubts about my work even more times.… Continued →

The old school influenced positive hardcore punk band, 2Minute Minor, will release their new full length effort “Blood On Our Front Stoop” through Indie Vision Music in early 2018. In a universe where everybody and their grandmother has a punk band, its refreshing to hear a new band that stands out. This particular band is Pleading guilty and from the first track they immediately stand out above the crowd. This punk rock foursome hail from colorado and as a fellow Colorado resident I was very involved in the scene during the late 90s. We had some great punk bands but sadly only a handful of christian bands. The Blamed has been a Christian Hardcore/Punk band since the 90s. The Line up for the Blamed is going back to its roots with Original band members: Jim Chaffin on drums and Bryan Gray on guitar. Joining them will be Sid Duffour on bass (formally of Headnoise) and guitarist Jeff Locke (who recorded in 1998 on the album “…again” and toured with the Blamed) and New lead vocalist of October Bird Of Death, Wiley Willis.
