Too Bad Eugene to Release "Non Grata" This Friday

Too Bad Eugene are officially back. After successfully funding their new album campaign they’ve already finished their first new single and music since 2002. The track is titled “Non Grata” and it’s an upbeat, total raging, melodic punk rock powerhouse of a song much like their past material on “At Any Rate” and “Moonlighting” but kicked up a notch and with incredible sound production. This is the best you’ve heard from them yet and a proper reintroduction into today’s modern punk scene. I love everything about it from the strong, commanding vocals of Adam Nigh, the heavy bass work and out front drumming, to melodic guitar work.… Continued →

Namesake (Arizona) Emerge From a Long Hiatus To Drop Songs on Digital Networks

A small, independent punk rock band from the late 90’s/early 00’s called “Namesake” that you may have blinked and missed, are back with a special “Demos & Legacy Recordings” release through digital networks. The release features their long lost music including that song “Michigan Avenue” that appeared on “I’m Your Biggest Fan Vol. 2” that I put together years ago for Tooth & Nail and lies dormant in the dusty bins of yesteryear. The band had a lot of passion and talent and could have been the next big thing but sadly ended much too soon.… Continued →

Make sure to bookmark our page and come back here to give it a full listen. Who else thinks Nate Parrish would be a perfect addition to Tooth & Nail Records?… Continued →

This “Pickle & Boot Shoppe Podcast” is the things nightmares are made of. Listen through your favorite podcasting/digital network now. Huntingtons Bring "Get Lost" to Vinyl and Tape

Sexy Baby Records and the band, Huntingtons, are bringing the classic 1999 album – “Get Lost”, to vinyl and tape once again. The Ramones-esque album was an instant classic and further cemented their place in our hearts, minds, and music players back in the day. Led by the hit single “No Pool Party Tonight”, the album blazed through song after song of pure punk rock glory and didn’t let up for a second. I loved their T&N contributions but the band has a vast discography going all the way back to 1995 (and an album that dropped last year in case you missed it).… Continued →

This legendary 3 piece punk rock band known the world over as TOO BAD EUGENE, have just joined up and coming label, People of Punk Rock Records. His new microphone company – ARCLIGHT MICROPHONES, has just launched on Kickstarter and they are seeking to raise $10,000 to cover costs of creating this one of a kind new design/concept.… Continued →

Debut Release From Doulos

One of Thumper Punk Records’ newest bands, Doulos, have released their debut ep, “The Middleman”. These guys border on punk, harcore, and street punk. Mainframe return with a catchy new, most definitely relevant, new song titled “Lockdown”. The band and IVM have released the song through IVM bandcamp right here (For Free) and it’ll be on all digital networks next Friday! It’s an exciting representation of the band, their message, and their experiences living here in the states during our very chaotic times. It’s got a great message and showcases their more punk rock n’ roll sound. Follow them on Facebook here and Instagram: @mainframepunk . Listen to the song, below.… Continued →

Song of the Day: Moral Support - Control

Punk rock developed somewhere in the 1970s when what had essentially been garage rock bands got louder, snarlier, and started playing shorter, faster songs. While critics argue about the official beginning of the genre (is proto-punk still punk?), it was fully fledged in the late 70s, and had already started giving way to what would become two new genres. New Wave was the poppier extension of punk (that would further develop into synth-pop and electronica). Post-punk was the darker, more introspective branch that would eventually give birth to goth and alternative rock.… Continued →

My Thoughts on the New Five Iron Frenzy Album

Edit: Five Iron Frenzy themselves have posted updated lyrics with corrections made, click here. Also, I left out info on “So We Sing” which is a catchy song in it’s own right but I didn’t mention because it was the first single released a few months back and I assumed most had heard it. Carry on…. Five Iron Frenzy surprised just about everyone by dropping their brand new, electrifying full length album on Friday. It is a complete, total dumpster fire wreck of an album and filled with nothing but pure feces.… Continued →
