Names Without Numbers - New Song "Florida" Coming Soon
Names Without Numbers are back in a big way on January 13th. Their new song “Florida” will drop on that date and we have a little teaser to offer all of you. This is without a doubt the band’s strongest song to date and further reminds me of just how good they are, not just in regards to indie music but rock n roll as a whole. There is a lot of content floating around out there passing off as legitimate music but really lacks the meat and substance.… Continued →

Have you heard of Knuckle Sucker?
With a name like Knuckle Sucker, one may not be quick to think that they would be a faith based band, but they sure are and unabashedly so! FFO: Loose End, Pocket Change, Preach it Ray Ray!, Relient K, Slick Shoes, and MxPx.

Song of The Day: Relient K - Deathbed
I’ll just come out and say it, “Deathbed” is quite possibly the best “Christian” song that has been written in the past 15 years. That is quite a statement to make and I’ll tell you why. First of all, bands who can create an 11 minute “epic” song with constant peaks and valleys all the while captivating the listener with a heavy dose of heart tugging melodrama, you know they are doing it right. I don’t know what it is and maybe that’s just me being a sentimental, sappy fool, but when I give this track a listen, I am left with a tear(s) streaming down my cheek.… Continued →

Relient K Drop Live Album
In something of a surprise (at least to me), Relient K released a new live album on Spotify minutes ago. The 15 tracks that appear on the release include one track from Two Lefts, a few choice selections off Mmhmm, and the rest are from varied releases after that. Looking forward to giving this a good listen. You can also pick up the live vinyl HERE, however it appears to contain 9 songs rather than 15. Who’ll be checking this out??… Continued →

A really great new pop-punk band out of Ohio called Best Foot Back are here with a new song titled “Up Too Late”. Check out the lyric video below. Ethan Luck "Let it Burn" Out Now
The highly anticipated new album from well seasoned punk rock veteran, Ethan Luck, is out now. The album is jam packed with memorable choruses, bass heavy delivery, and a warm, inviting horn section that will keep you entertained for hours. This 10 track album was funded by fans through Kickstarter with a lot of us getting the vinyl version among other incentives. When I say “Buy it” I don’t mean that lightly. It is my full intention to persuade you, the reader, to drop what you’re doing and support true independent music by purchasing the album.… Continued →

Ethan Luck Launches New Campaign for Ska / Reggae Album
Ethan Luck is a veteran. This seasoned musician and songwriter has been playing on albums for more pretty much all of his entire adult life. He has worked with nearly everyone from Pax (before the ‘217’), Project 86, The Dingees, Value Pac, OC Supertones, Demon Hunter, Relient K, recently as touring musician with Kings of Leon and of course his solo work. This new album will continue some of the more “punk” aspects of his last few solo releases and aim the focus directly at Ska and Reggae sounds, incorporating them in his punk rock aesthetic.… Continued →

Relient K's "Two Lefts Don't Make a Right...but Three Do" Turns 15
Sometimes it’s crazy to me to see how old some albums are, and this is definitely one of those instances. Hardly feels like it’s been 15 years, maybe because I still have this one in my listening repertoire on a semi-regular basis. So, after 15 years, how does this album hold up for you? Do you have any favorite tracks or memories from it? Here’s my favorite.… Continued →

The Best of 2007: Favorite Hits From 10 Years Ago
Hey friends it’s that time again, time for another “list”. Feel free to offer up your big Laugh-Out-Louds and smirks for some “hits” I found appealing 10 years ago. A lot of stuff from that year was enjoyed by me, some I am rediscovering, and others were missed opportunities. Check out my “list” below and feel free to listen to the playlist I created on Spotify for this list found in the article. Remember kids, “some” of these releases may not have the best language so if you get queasy at the thought of dirty words from general market (do we still use the word ‘secular’?)… Continued →

Best of 2016: Ian DeVaney
2016 was a great year for Christian music, so great in fact that I found it difficult to keep up with all of the releases coming out! These are the albums that I found myself listening to the most over the course of the year though, and after spending a few days listening to the others that I missed, I’m quite comfortable saying that these are the best releases of the year!

2. Dogs of Peace – Heel

REVIEW : Relient K - Air For Free
If you liked The Force Awakens you should thoroughly enjoy Relient K’s latest record, Air For Free. Both have a hearty dose of nostalgia to welcome you back to the artistic world you originally fell in love with, whether that’s a galaxy far, far away or a playful, punk band from Ohio. Yet there’s enough growth and promising new direction present that the new endeavor’s success doesn’t rely on nostalgia alone. It’s a delicate balance few releases are able to achieve, but the Relient K you know and love came through with flying colors (specifically red, blue, and yellow) on Air For Free.… Continued →
