Joey's Loss Potential Return?

Legendary east coast punk/post-hardcore band JOEY’S LOSS that many had never heard much of outside of their home state of TN. and some small Indie Vision Music promotions, are potentially staging some sort of return. Just what this means is unclear at this point and I’m not going to speculate but I do have a special appreciation for their musical output two decades ago. 20 years of “Unwelcome Travelers and Other Brave Men” is next year and could this be something to celebrate in a live setting?… Continued →

The Myriad Rereleases Early EPs

Much loved and critically underrated indie rock band The Myriad, seems to have some new activity transpiring. The band last released the full length “With Arrows, With Poise” back in 2008 to much acclaim and fan adoration but the band’s time in the spotlight was cut short when their drummer Randy sadly passed away from cancer. The band decided to put a hold on the band and went into hibernation. Well, they are working on things and also put up 3 of their older “indie” EPs on digital networks.… Continued →

The Insyderz are Back in Action

Michigan based Ska-Core legends known around the world as The Insyderz, are back in 2023! The band last released “The Sinner’s Songbook” back in 2012. While no news about “new” music has surfaced I am certainly not against hearing a full band sound on a new track with that hard hitting, classic sound. The band recently played a local show last week which is leading up to their big set at Furnace Fest this year. What’s your favorite Insyderz song and what are you most looking forward to hearing at Furnace Fest?… Continued →

Flyleaf Announce Reunion With Lacey Sturm

Sorry for my absence. You know, life. This is a couple days late but certainly worth talking about. The beloved alt-rock-metal band – Flyleaf, have indeed reunited with their acclaimed first singer and lead woman, Lacey Sturm. Since Lacey and the band parted ways like a decade ago, both parties went on to make new music and continue their careers. Lacey Sturm has come out as a very successful and talented solo artist but not in the acoustic-y, “fall asleep while driving” realm. Her music was as heavy as it was a lighter and more spiritual affair.… Continued →

Slow Coming Day to Play Reunion Gig in So Cal with Watashi Wa

Slow Coming Day will be playing a very special reunion concert with the original band line up. Concert takes place December 16th at The Wayfarer in Costa Mesa, CA. with Watashi Wa and Jon Caro (Stairwell). Show starts at 7pm and only $10. Check out a fun lyric video for their classic song “Pages Yet to Be Written” and also take a look at cool flyer as well. I’ve said it before but Slow Coming Day were a special kind of band that could have been a huge force in terms of reach and fanbase but for whatever the reason, they flew under most people’s radars at that time.… Continued →

One visit to the Close Your Eyes facebook page and it’s clear to see that there is activity on the band side of things. What do you want to see more of from Close Your Eyes in the future? What is your favorite song of theirs?… Continued →

Nihilio Reunite and Begin Work On First New Material in 10 Years

Nihilio is a band you might recognize from the archives of Indie Vision Music. Back in the day this band put out some mighty fine explosive metalcore jams and even a few of their songs ended up on old IVM Compilations. Well the band has reunited and are in the studio with Matt Goldman recording their first new material in 10 years. This little heard underground band is about to explode on the music scene yet again and when they do, your face will be obliterated!… Continued →

Jason Dunn Announces New Band Name, New Songs, and LTTP Reunion

Jason Dunn (of Hawk Nelson/Lights Go Down) has announced he will be reuniting with some friends under a new band name and will have new songs to go with it. This new music will be similar to early Hawk Nelson, a band he fronted for more than a decade. He also has been teasing a tour of “Letters To The President” in 2019 (15th Anniversary of that album). Anyone stoked to hear new pop-punk by Jason Dunn? That last Lights Go Down ep was great and I have a feeling a new band in that Hawk Nelson/pop-punk style will get fans salivating.… Continued →
