Song of the Day: Terminal Generation - Body Bag vs Suck You Down

So here is another rarity band that I have pulled from the archives. The Terminal Generation considered themselves the world’s scariest band. Based out of California, they melded distorted guitars & vocals. Most would know them if they followed 90s Christian industrial movement when R.E.X. records released an industrial compilation called Electro Shock Therapy in 1995, but they actually got their start in LA in 1989.

Song of the Day: Six Feet Deep - Narrow

This band was awesome imho. The early days of Christian hxc bands had met their match with this phenomenal cd The Road Less Travelled. Songs like Congruent, Purify, Slip, & Steadfast are just pummeling.  It was like a breach of hxc w/ metalcore. Myk Porter & Matt Traxler went to to form an awesome emo band called Brandston (whom I got to see live several years ago) after but the band got its start in 91 in Ohio. Song of the Day: Circle of Dust - Aggressor (Regressive Mix)

Industrial music has a long and complicated history, which we don’t have time to get deeply into here. Its roots lie in avant garde experimentalism of the 1970s, its name coming from literal industrial sounds as its inspiration. As the genre developed, it became intertwined with other styles–most notably dance music and techno, or at the other end of the spectrum heavy metal, and occasionally even hip-hop.
