A Hope for Home - Here, The End

Throwback Review 7: A Hope for Home - Here, The End

It has been years since A Hope for Home served us an album. I remember when “In Abstraction” dropped my freshman year of college. I got the email my preorder had shipped and it was the highlight of the week. Of course, that’s quickly approaching six years ago now. I’ve had plenty of time to listen to their discography and have actually found it to be their weakest album; on the same token, “Realis” is quite possibly one of my favorite albums ever and “The Everlasting Man”, despite its stylistic consistency, is also a pretty great album.… Continued →

Nashville, TN – – LeAnder frontman is stoked to get married! In anticipation for the wedding date (June 24, 2017!), Scott Anderle released a 3 song EP that chronicles the couple’s relationship. Each track is produced by different one of Scott’s close friends who helped him create this EP as a wedding gift. Although Scott takes the energy of screaming and distorted guitars down, Ampersand definitely does not lack in heart. The first track, Bryana is suitably named as it is a forward song engaging the listener to the story of how they met with an intimate final verse where he asks her to be his girlfriend.… Continued →

Consider contributing today.

REVIEW : K I D S - Side A

One of Flicker Records’ most beloved alumni bands have decided to not only get out of the way, but moreover, they have risen from the ashes like a phoenix (with a heartache) after nearly ten years since their last album was released. Never quite having one particular sound but always succeeding in the style they adopted, this band has done emo, punk, post-hardcore, and straight on rock n’ roll. Kids in the Way have become K I D S and Side A shows the band both evolving and maintaining some of their roots.… Continued →

Kevin Kiehn to release EP this Fall!

Years ago, I came across a band called The Wedding online and instantly fell in love with their music, every aspect of it. On their self-titled album and their sophomore release, “Polarity”, vocalist Kevin Kiehn did an amazing job on vocals, helping to make those albums quite memorable and still favorites of mine to this day. After touring a bit following the release of “Polarity” however, Kiehn stepped down as frontman of the band and away from music for the past 10 years. According to a recent post on Facebook however, Kevin has announced he is currently recording a new ep that will be released this Fall.… Continued →
