I missed posting about this over the long Fourth of July weekend. Was busy with family and health issues. Anyway, one of my personal favorite Rock bands are back in action. Anberlin have announced their signing to Equal Vision (as reported earlier) and just dropped their new single “Circles”. While different, this song invokes a certain familiarity and instant likability. If you are a longtime fan then I’m sure many of you will appreciate the new direction. After 14 years, “When Angels & Serpents Dance” is finally getting the release treatment it should have always gotten. This is a favorite P.O.D. album of mine next to their other big hits like Fundamental, Satellite, Testify, etc. This album had a very commercial sound and had that “hit” potential but for whatever reason, disappeared to the piles of thrift store dust bins. Collington began writing and performing while attending college. What began as a batch of self-produced demos has grown into Collington working with producers such as Eric Owyoung (Hillsong United/ John Foreman) and Bill Scheniman (Bruce Springsteen/ Mick Jagger). Major press took notice of the 2020 release “Against The Wall” and Collington was awarded “Next Big Thing” by NewReleaseToday.   Fast forward to the present, Collington has enlisted producer and former Sanctus Real member Jake Rye for his next release. Avery Parkway has a cool band past. with Joel being the drummer for Olivia (a pop punk band from Hawaii) & Confide & touring bassist for Of Mice & Men. Audiofeed has just announced a couple more artists for it’s 2022 Summer Festival. Rosie Thomas, Listener, and the band – Huntingtons, have all been added to the lineup. I’d like to shed new light on this recent new song from Names Without Numbers. The song is called “You Do The Talking” and it’s hard to argue that this isn’t the BEST song the band has done. The band without a doubt have a diverse sound yet are extremely melodic, with precise attention pointed toward addictive melodies, and unforgettable harmonies. They are an alt-rock band with indie roots clearly showing, not afraid to shy away from a certain pop like influence. They straddle the line between the raw, unfiltered power of a rock band set to storm the stage with power and fury, and a band clearly wearing their pop side on their sleeves.… Continued →

Stairwell, a band I’ve been a long time fan of and known for 2 amazing albums, “Pacific Standard Time”, and “The Sounds of Change” which both came released on Takehold Records (Hopeless Records picked up the final record and re-released it), just announced their reunion and lineup. You may have heard about this special documentary film called “The Case For Heaven” which is based off the book of the same title by the great Lee Strobel. It’s quite Clear that 10 Years and Separating States are not enough of a Fleeting moment to Look at Watashi Wa, a band who has very much been missed. They may have lost a few battles but they’re certainly gonna win that war. Don’t count a good band out and they aren’t the wrong kind even in the slightest. It’ll take all of me but I’ll be cheering loudly for this band’s return to form. Look for a new album very soon (in 2022). It’ll be fun and exciting, kinda like the air I breathe.… Continued →
