Song of the Day: Zach Williams - There Was Jesus vs Old Church Choir

I admit I stopped listening to radio in the late 90s. Most of it was due to the point that Christian radio changed formats. It just seems to have the same exact basic gospel message to every song. We were dead in sin, but God brings us to Him & so we praise Him for that. That is not necessarily a bad thing, but there is more to Christian music than just the same idea. Here is an artist who has been through a lot & sings about Jesus being there all the time.… Continued →

Song of the Day: Salt - Get Back

This rarity is a southern rock band from a division of Pamplin records called Mercystreet. I had this cd back in the day. They play southern rock that sound akin to Three Crosses. Vocalist Dan Safer also appears to have more in media w/ him even appearing on the NBC show The Voice..

Witness this mighty rebirth at Furnace Fest this year and get ready to rock out with one of the best bands around. A miracle indeed.… Continued →

Song of the Day: Rhonda Gunn - Binding Chains

Rhonda Gunn is a singer/songwriter that has been around since 1995. I admit I did not hear her music til more recently (around 2 years ago) when a station/website called Crossroads started playing her music. Since then I have heard music from 2 other albums Forgiveness & I Wonder. My musical tastes are very eclectic & so I started searching & found she is even on the Frontline Records site & is an outstanding songwriter who has has penned songs for Dallas Holm & Heirloom. Her music sounds adult contemporary with some rock underlinings with her soaring vocals sounding (at least to me) like a cross between Carrie Underwood & dare I say it, Sandi Patty.… Continued →

Dallas Taylor the current vocalist for Maylene & The Sons of Disaster and former Underoath vocalist, has offered an update on his tragic accident a few months ago. He has certainly had a long road to recovery and is still on that path. His survival is a total miracle of God and the man appears to be quite optimistic about his trauma. Read more below. Continue to pray for Dallas and feel free to contribute to a GoFundMe page to help cover costs associated with his accident and hospital care.… Continued →
