I was going to write a little intro to this list of mine, but in the end I figured I’d just let it speak for itself. New Metalcore band, Then It Ends (feat. members of A Past Unknown and Dividing the Masses) have released a new song and a video to go with it for the song “Reality”. Much more melodic than the recently released single, “Depravity”, “Reality” contains great lyrics and heavy moments that contrast the laid back feel heard for most of the track in perfect proportion. “Reality” makes for a great listen for fans of a variety of tastes in music. Then It Ends has announced that the project has now become a full fledged band. The project from Grant Lilly (formerly from A Past Unknown) has shown a bit of musical diversity with each release, from heavy metalcore sounds to parts that are a bit more melodic. If you’ve been keeping up, Then It Ends is the project begun by former A Past Unknown vocalist, Grant Lilly. Up to now, the project has released “Despised” (Full and acoustic versions), “Welcome Home”, and “Addiction”, all of which have been pretty well received. Today, Then It Ends released a new track, “Darkness”, which, in my own opinion, is the best to date. When asked about Then It Ends and this new single, Grant had this to say: “God has inspired me to continue music. I absolutely love metalcore but I do love so many other genres as well.
