I had been patiently awaiting this 3 song acoustic release since it was first announced via Thumper Punk Records. So much about this little ep spells perfection to me. I have been a fan of Mike’s work since as long as I can remember. Today is the release of Jimmy Sisco’s contribution to the 3 Song Acoustic EP series. As the singer/guitarist/songwriter for ABSOLVED and Platoon 1107, Jimmy has released some of the biggest, most aggressive music on Thumper Punk Records. In a universe where everybody and their grandmother has a punk band, its refreshing to hear a new band that stands out. This particular band is Pleading guilty and from the first track they immediately stand out above the crowd. This punk rock foursome hail from colorado and as a fellow Colorado resident I was very involved in the scene during the late 90s. We had some great punk bands but sadly only a handful of christian bands. The Christian punk band Reforma Protestante has released their music video for “Skate & Destroy“. Reforma Protestante means “Protestant reform” in Spanish. The band features Andrés Matamoros (guitar and vocals), Pablo Mata (guitar), David Barrantes (bass and vocals), and Gabo Chevez (drums). The song Skate & Destroy originally appeared on Autism Awareness, Acceptance and Research, a Benefit Comp, Vol. 2, to raise money for The Seaver Autism Center at Mt. Siani Hospital.
