It has just now been announced that the well loved album from Dead Poetic, “New Medicines”, is getting the vinyl treatment by Tooth & Nail Records. More eBay Goodies + Rare Sealed Indie Vision Music CD Lots

I’m still chugging away at selling my collection on Ebay. I’ve got so many CDs to list but I can only do so much each day. I recently added a few different lots/albums today including 2 rare lots of Quick and the Dead CDs and an Indie Vision Music 6 CD Super Lot. I put “15” available of each of these two lots but I have plenty more still sealed in boxes. The Business of Streaming and the After Effects of a Digital Marketplace

A really great article on the current explosion of the digital streaming marketplace and it’s subsequent takeover of standard music purchases can be read here (Billboard Article). It is interesting how much things have changed in the past decade and half. I remember the times of the pirates like Napster, Morpheus, Kazaa, etc. and how they threatened to undermine popular music. Then digital stores started popping up like iTunes, Rhapsody, eMusic, Amazon, Google Play, and many more. Mantric entering the studio in April

The prog metal act Mantric has announced they will be entering the studio in April. For those who don’t know who Mantric is, they are the members of the band known as Lengsel, formerly of Solid State Records. The band formed in 2007 in Oslo, Norway. The band has hosted all the members of Lengsel, David Husvik from Extol, and Anders Lidal of Benea Reach. Mantric is currently independent. The band released an EP and a full-length in 2015 and have released the vinyl for them in July last year.… Continued →

Frodus Announce 2nd Pressings of Limited Edition Vinyl

The post-hardcore legends that once was known as Frodus, have released the second pressing of their album, And We Washed Our Weapons in the Sea on Clear Vinyl. The album is a limited edition. According to their Bandcamp page: Clear vinyl edition of Frodus “And We Washed Our Weapons In The Sea” + Bonus 7″. LP includes insert of candid Frodus images and hand-written lyrics. 7″ contains hand-written letter on cover art of post-breakup note from bassist Nathan Burke. Cerimonial Sacred (Vision of God Records) releases "Eternity Begins Tonight"

The Christian black metal Cerimonial Sacred has released an EP titled Eternity Begins Tonight. The band has been around since 1998 but has only released a few songs. They released a full length in 2005, titled Our War Is Only Against Hell, a single in 2015 titled “The Man of Nazareth” and their sophomore album, Christ Worshipers in 2015. The band signed to Vision of God Records on December 23, 2016, and has now released their debut EP through there. Eternity Begins Tonight is two songs, being released both digitally and on 7″ vinyl.… Continued →
