New Ledger Song - "Completely"

Last year, Jen Ledger (drummer for Skillet) released her debut solo EP, “Ledger” (see my review HERE). At that time, she really seemed to be right on the fence of electronic/pop and rock. Just yesterday, she released a new song titled “Completely” and to me, this one sounds like she’s really moved over to the CCM/poppy side of things. It’s a beautiful, worshipful (is that a word?) tune, celebrating the love of God. Check out the song below and you can also see the story behind it HERE.… Continued →

Most Anticipated Releases of 2019: Rob Jensen

So, 2018 is behind us, another year on the books. After having put together a list of my favorite releases for the year, I decided to try going in the opposite direction and form a list of the albums I’m anticipating most in the coming year. Now, a bit of a heads up before we dig in; I am almost certainly missing some albums here. Some may have escaped my attention, and I’m sure there are more to be announced yet as well. All mentioned below I’m sure are coming this year, but a specific date has yet to be given.… Continued →

Marshall Marshall - Fall to My Knees

I’m not sure which is harder: adding vegetables to my diet or adding worship songs to my playlists. Both are good for me, but generally speaking I’d prefer just about anything else. Thankfully not all vegetables are bland and neither are all worship songs. And on that note I’ve got a new song from the band Marshall Marshall to share with you today. It’s called “Fall to My Knees” and is streaming now on Apple Music, Spotify, and on YouTube below.

12 Worship Songs That Aren't Titled "Reckless Love"

I have a confession to make: after high school I stopped listening to worship music. I still heard my fair share of new worship songs on Sunday morning, but for me the last decade has just been a blur of worship songs that all sound the same. It’s not that I had anything against worship music (although I could think of a few things if I put my mind to it), it just bored me. Something’s changed recently though. Maybe my musical tastes have matured since high school (let’s hope so anyway).… Continued →
