It’s official! JCHC FEST will take place on April 5th 2025 at famed The Glasshouse in Pomona, CA. The full lineup includes Officer Negative and No Innocent Victim, along with The Deal, Headnoise, TAKE, Richie The Barber, Absolved, Barriers, Destroy Nate Allen, GratitudeTX, Infirmities, NO TREATY, XDoulosX, and Zippy Josh & The Ragtag Band. Doulos – Birth Pains This band was my big surprise hit at Audiofeed Festival last summer. Sure, I’d heard the name for several years and probably sampled a track or two online, but I’d never fully experienced the band until that live set in a hot tent in July. They blew me away with their energy and riffs galore. Lots of tempo changes, fast parts, mosh parts, exactly as hardcore should be! Newly signed to Rottweiler Records, the hardcore band xDoulosx out of Southern California just dropped their label debut titled “Birth Pains” and it is available on all digital networks now. Check out the title track featuring Jon Davenport of Cultist, below. This is heavy, raw, and strikes me with that classic hardcore rhythmic sound. Southern California based hardcore/thrash/punk band – xDOULOSx, just dropped 2 new songs. Listen to “Cycles” and “Shots Fired”, below. This is really great heavy hardcore thrash-punk music. Sounds amazing and has a certain classic sound mixed in with the new school. Kinda reminds me of a mix of Downset, Six Feet Deep, The Crucified, The Warriors, No Innocent Victim, Knocked Loose, and All Out War. Good stuff. Listen to both songs below.
